4 Pakistanis the Forbes 30 Under 30 List in 2016

Forbes is the world’s most famous Business publication and it releases its list of ’30 Under 30’ every year and it also released the list this year also.

Total 600 people from around the world are selected for the ’30 Under 30’ list which is about emerging entrepreneurs. Total 20 field are examined for this list and the youngsters with the motivation and courage to lead in their fields are continuously featured in the list.

It is so pleasing to know that 4 Pakistanis also managed to make their place in the list. Social Entrepreneurship and marketing are the fields in which they are placed.

Khalida Brohi (25 years) from Sughar Empowerment Society

 

Khalida is a social activist who works for betterment of women. She founded ‘Sughar’, a nonprofit organization that helps Pakistani women to learn such skills through which they can make themselves financially and individually strong.

Sughar provides a 6 month training program to women in order to make them self sufficient while the organization is working in 23 Pakistani villages. The organization tells several skills to women including taking loans for business, embroidery skills and business marketing knowledge.

Fiza Farhan (27 Years) from Buksh Foundation

 

The organization of Fiza Farhan offers microfinance solution to poor people while he is a young social entrepreneur. In rural areas of Pakistan, Buksh Foundation is working to provide clean energy projects.

So far, 135 women have taken training as energy entrepreneur through this organization. Throughout the country, 6750 has received solar powered lights through her foundation.

Umar Anwar Jahangir (24 years) from Secretary Bahria Medics

 

Umar Jehangir has formed the first Pakistani blood-donor bank in Karachi which provides health initiatives for local people through cellular networks. Apart from health related projects, Umar Anwar is also a member of Pakistan’s Youth Parliament while he is achieving his developmental projects through help from government.

He is contributing in communication and health development sectors since past 6 years.

Muniba Mazari (28 years)

 

Her important role in Pakistan is also recognized in the whole world. She is a speaker, writer and an artist. United Nations appointed her as first Pakistani Goodwill ambassador to advance gender equality and empowerment of women.

She herself is a disabled woman but she proved that such problems don’t prevent people with sincerity from achieving their goals due to which she is known as ‘iron-lady’.

These 4 Pakistanis have proved that the country has skill to produce leaders of different fields.
