Emergency meeting of administration has been called after four people including 3 doctors found positive of Congo virus in Victoria Hospital Bahawalpur. Tests are underway for nurses and other members of hospital.
According to sources of health department, Congo virus is conformed in 3 doctors and one ward boy of Victoria Hospital Bahawalpur while tests of 4 nurses and other members of staff are underway. A four member team under Dr. Ataur Rahman has reached from Lahore to Bahawalpur on directions of CM Punjab.
According to sources, all 4 patients were affected while operating a patient of Lodhran. Two of these doctors are sent to Aga Khan Hospital Karachi and one is referred to Rawalpindi Hospital. The condition of one doctor is serious.
