In Punjab, 5000 security personnel will be recruited for safety of Chinese engineers and other foreigners. According to spokesman of Punjab Government, CM Punjab Shahbaz Sharif has directed to immediately recruit 5000 personnel in special protection unit. These security personnel will be assigned the duty to protect foreigners working in CPEC and other projects. He also directed to start security guards training program from this month.
According to the spokesman, the cabinet committee of Punjab Govt. will visit the Chinese projects every month and present the report to CM after checking security situation. Punjab Govt. has also taken the services of retired army officers for training program of private security guards.
