Aamir Khan defends nudity on ‘pk’ poster

Many people were surprised and many ridiculed Aamir Khan over his nude poster for his upcoming film “pk” but Aamir said that this poster is not for publicity. Instead, he said it is depicting the story of film and is a key art.

In the poster of Rajkumar Hirani’s film “pk”, Aamir Khan is shown nude while hiding his modesty with a boombox. Few people appreciate this daring act but few were critical and called it to be organized for publicity.

Aamir said about the poster that the audience will be able to understand the real idea behind this poster after they watch the film. He said that he’s a huge fan of filmmaker and writer Rajkumar because he presents his thinking and ideas in a unique way.

He also gave the example of his debut produced and directed film “Taare Zameen Par” and said that in that film’s poster, he was sitting behind the bench while the child (Darsheel Safari) was sitting front of that school bench. Through this poster, the story of film was evident as it is the key art and so is the case with poster of film “pk”.

He added that the poster is not for publicity but it only shows all important elements of picture story.

Meanwhile, recently a case was also filed against Aamir, producer Vidhu Vinod Chopra and director Rajkumar Hirani in a court in Kanpur. All of htem were accused for promotion of vulgarity and nudity through the poster of their film “pk”.

However, Aamir is confident that after the release of film in December, everything will be fine after people will see the film.

 

The 49-year-old actor said that the response from people is mix but their doubts will be cleaed after they watch the full film.

Sanjay Dutt, Sushant Singh Rajput and anushka Sharma are other actors of film “pk”.
