Many countries including China, Malaysia, Indonesia and Kenya have banned the release of Hollywood’s new movie “Fifty Shades of Grey”. The topic of movie “Fifty Shades of Grey” is about a romance between a young businessman and a college female student. This movie was released on 14th February in 57 international markets and the film earned $6.8 million in just two days in America and Canada. According to sources; China, Malaysia, Indonesia and Kenya have immediately banned the release of this movie in the cinema houses. The sensor boards of Indonesia and Malaysia said that the movie is not suitable according to their standards. This film is based on the novel of same name. This novel, consist of three volumes, was also banned by few countries. Lebanon is the only country among the Arab nations which has permitted the release of this film. It should be remembered that over 100 million copies of the novel “Fifty Shades of Grey” were sold worldwide while it was also translated in 52 languages of the world.
