Armeena Khan Won Women Empowerment Award 2016

During Pakistan Achievement Awards this year, the ‘Women Empowerment Award’ was given to Pakistani-Canadian actress Armeena Khan. The event was hosted by Shaista Lodhi as it was held in London on 2nd December 2016. Recognizing the work of outstanding Pakistani persons is the reason behind organization of these ‘Pakistan Achievement Awards’.

On that occasion, the award of ‘Most Popular Actor’ was given to Ahsan Khan for his role in ‘Udaari’. The event was attended by several other celebrities including Javed Sheikh and Sana. In 2013, Armeena started her career with Bollywood film “Huff! It’s Too Much” and then performed in a British film “Writhe”. After screening of this film in Cannes Film Festival 2013, she became the first Pakistani actress to walk the red carpet of Cannes. Armeena celebrated her recent success and shared her happiness with fans on Twitter that she has won the ‘Women Empowerment Award” this year during Pakistan Achievement Awards UK.
