Carmakers Get Stay Order for Auto Policy

+

Indus Motor and Pak Suzuki Motor Company are two main manufacturing companies in the Pakistani automobile industry and they have got stay order from Sindh High Court after challenging the new auto policy. It shows the two companies are currently not ready to implement the new policy for providing cheaper vehicles with improvement in technology.

The small car section in Pakistan is dominated by Pakistani part of Suzuki Motors while Indus Motors (makers of Toyota Corolla) and Honda Atlas Cars are main companies of heavy-engine cars in Pakistan. In 2014, Suzuki’s only competitor Hyundai stopped its production of vehicles.

The new auto policy gives several instructions including timely delivery to customers, reducing theft chances by installation of immobilizers in the cars, emplacement of safety regulations and manages other global practices.
