Hundreds of cattle in the cities and villages of Juhi and Catchu areas of interior Sindh have died and many others suffering illness due to mysterious disease. Due to absence of medicines and staff in all the centers of Department of Live Stock, the cattle owners are much worried.

According to sources, more than 200 goats, 20 cows, 70 lambs and 15 buffaloes have died due to mysterious disease in the areas of Fareedabad, Wahi Pandhi, Sawro, Channi, Hero Khan, Haji Khan and others.

The cattle owners and cattle farmers of Kachu said on that occasion that their animals have died due to mysterious disease while hundreds of animals are ill.

Local people told that there is no functional veterinary center in any area of Kachu and they are unable to get their cattle checked due to absence of staff and medicines in more than 15 centers. They told that cattle are not given vaccine and medicines despite being called to officers of live stock again and again.

On that occasion, they demanded from Chief Justice of Pakistan, Governor Sindh, Secretary Sindh, Secretary Livestock and other relevant authorities to send medicines and staff on emergency basis in Juhi taluqa in order to stop the disease in cattle and also vaccine the cattle in the whole area.

They demanded to save their livestock and also punish those livestock officers who defalcated the money.
