Financial Coverage

CERN Internship program is the paid international internship and it is fully funded internship being provided in Switzerland. There are following things, which will be covered by the organizers.

In return, CERN will provide you with:

A contract of association from 2 to 12 months.

An allowance of 3283 Swiss Francs per month (net of tax).

A Round Airfare travel allowance.

If you are married and / or have children, you should provide the supplement.

The comprehensive health insurance scheme of CERN and the contribution will be deducted from the allowance automatically.

2, 5 days of paid leave per month.

Eligibility Criteria & Qualifications

The candidates should be national of CERN Member or Associate Member State (home.cern/about/member-states) and study in Member State or Associate Member State.

Today CERN has 22 member states including Cyprus, Serbia, and Slovenia are the Associate Members States in the pre-stage to membership and other member countries like India, Lithuania, Pakistan, Turkey, and Ukraine are the Associate Members States.

The candidates should complete minimum 18 months of the undergraduate studies at the bachelor or master degree level, specializing in the administrative field at time of next student committee, which will be held during December 2019.

  • The candidates can stay there for at least 2 months and at most 12 months and they will remain registered as full time student.
  • The candidates must have good knowledge of English or French

The candidates should ensure that their CV is complete with all necessary skills and experience that make them stand out as the candidate.

The candidates should be clear and specific as possible in the application fields ‘Education’ and ‘Experience’ to increase the chance of being selected. They should also include all specific skills (e.g. programming language, databases and hardware etc ) that they attained and they will support their application.

The copy of the recent academic transcript, which can show the overview of your marks (if you download it from university portal and ensure that there is not protection and we can open it).

It is mandatory to provide the reference letter from the professor of your university and you should have letter of reference from previous internship, you should attach as the second reference.
