Dell Releases New XPS 15 Notebook

The successor of flagship XPS 15 has been unveiled by Dell and it is sleeker yet powerful than before.

Under the hood, the XPS 15 has new 4th-generation Intel Haswell processor and it comes with a 15 inch touch-enabled display with resolution of 3200×1800 pixels. Still, it weighs just 4.4 pounds and is 18mm thick.

To save power and gives a sharper image, the ultrabook’s display comes with IGZO Technology. On the hardware side, it has Nvidia’s GeForce Gt 750M GPU, 16GB of RAM, 512 GB SSD storage option and a quad-core 2.2 GHz Intel Core i7 Haswell processor.

With the latest pre-installed Windows 8.1, the laptop comes. Of carbon fiber and magnesium alloy, the hardware bit is made of. Connectivity options include a full SD card slot, Minio Display Port, HDMI, 1 USB 2.0 port and 3 USB 2.0 port. Battery life is at 13 hours, due to processor tech and new display.

But the bad thing is that the starting model which won’t have this display and will come with a Core i5 processor and integrated graphics will cost $1499.

Comparatively, the macbook Air lacks several goodies of this ultrabook but is priced closely.
