The Director of Google for Public Policy and Government Relations for Southeast Asia and Greater China held a meeting with the finance minister of Pakistan. Google is playing the important role in promoting the e-commerce in Pakistan and she also acknowledged the economic progress within the country in last three years. she said that their company will play the role in the IT development and the promotion of the e-commerce in the country.
She discussed about the possibilities of the collaboration of the company in the digitalization of the economic activity in the country. The finance minister asked to the Director of Google to submit the complete plan for the implementation of the proposals so it could be considered by concerned stakeholders. The government is ready to provide the level playing field to the prospective local and foreign investors.
The minister informed her that various international institutes are projecting Pakistan as the second best place to make the investment in the world and adding the turnaround economy, security situation, improvement of energy and macroeconomic stability of Pakistan. It provides the conducive environment to the people, who want to make investment and broaden the commercial activity and foreign direct investment in IT sector of Pakistan.
