Farmer Robots Invented to Run Farms

+

The progress in robotics is expanding the participation of these auto machines very quickly. Now robots are performing such works which were unbelievable few decades before. The robots have controlled several departments from industries to house work.

The use of robots instead of human power has reduced the production cost of many industries. Due to this reason, the function of robots is increasing in industries while experts are also making them wide-ranging.

Recently, a Japanese company “Spread” has announced its plan to use robots for harvesting and protection of crops. The spokesman of the company says that Japan’s first “robo-farm” will be prepared till next year in which salad will be harvested. The agricultural farm will completely be controlled by the robots.

It doesn’t mean that robots will sow seeds and use tractors in the farms but a special farm will be created for the robot farmers. This factory resembling farm will be constructed in the Kansai Science City City of Tokyo.

Spread already owns wide farms and the salad is produced in these farms in the blocks of steel frames. This procedure is known as “vertical farming”. The light and temperature in these farms are maintained by modern mechanic system.

LED lights are used for lightening of these indoor farms. 21000 crops of salad are daily produced here. Vertical farming not only increases the crop production but the pesticide drugs are also not used during this farming due to which it is better for human health which is the main reason for popularity of indoor farming in developed countries.

The spokesman told that robo-farm will be made on 4400 km square and salad will be produced initially in this farm. 30,000 crops of salad can be produced in robo-farms while the use of robots instead of humans will decrease the cost from one third.
