Cyber Crime Wing of Federal Investigation Agency has made the decision to launch the crackdown against the faith healers online. This decision was made during the high level meeting on Tuesday.

The Cyber Crime Wing of the agency has made the list of more than 1000 pages on the different social media platforms as different fake faith healers are engaging their victims. FIA will monitor the page of the faith healers closely and they will carry out the sting operations on the complaints and help of the victims and they will use some other tools to arrest the culprits.

FIA will also launch public awareness program so that they will inform the people about different ways, which the scammers use to target their victims. FIA sources said that they receive large number of complaints about the online fraud from faith healers. It is also informed that most of the victims were women, who had fallen into trap of conmen and they want to get the solutions of their personal problems. It is also disclosed that people had lost about Rs.1.5 million to the online fraudsters to look for their better future or they want to seek the solutions of their problems. Most of the victims of the faith healers were belonged to Azad Kashmir, Quetta, Karachi, Lahore and Upper Punjab.
