First BMW Charging Station Installed in Karachi

Dewan Motors has installed a station for plug-in hybrid and electric vehicles in Karachi at Dolmen Mall which is the second such station by the company as the first one was built at Emporium Mall in Lahore a little while ago.

‘ChargeNow’ is the name of these public charging stations of Dewan Motors and they will facilitate to plug-in hybrid and electric vehicles of BMW in Pakistan.

Dewan Mohammad Yousuf Farooqui, chairman Dewan Motors, said that they are feeling proud to introduce this technology in Pakistan as it will grow further in the country with passage of time.

They are already providing the customers with BMW iWallbox domestic chargers through which they can easily charge their vehicles at home but the latest system will help them to easily charge their cars on the roads also.

BMW plug-in hybrid and electric vehicle owners can use the network of BMW Charge Now charging stations to get charging services with ease and security.

It is expected that around 60% world’s population will be living in cities by 2030 due to which BMW group is trying to make the mobility easier for the future requirement by developing these innovative services to its customers.

According to CEO Dewan Motors, this initiative by company has proved that Pakistanis are aware of the latest situation of natural resources like developed countries and they are ready to protect these resources. As compared to conventional hybrid vehicles, the latest plug-in hybrid and electric vehicles by BMW provide more mobility and they require negligible amounts of fossil fuels due to their electric capacity.
