Bollywood star Shahrukh Khan was given the highest award of France “Knight of the Legion of Honour” for his capabilities and services in film world.
In the Taj Mahal Palace hotel in Mumbai, the French Foreign Minister Laurent Fabius gave this respected award to Shahrukh Khan. It is said by French embassy that Shahrukh Khan has won the hearts of people all over the world including France with his superb acting.
The French foreign minister said during the ceremony that the French people cordially respect the capabilities and broad-heartiness of Shahrukh Khan. He takes all the people towards his films by forgetting cultural and historical differences which is a big achievement by him.
On that occasion, Shahrukh said that these types of events told us that you’re on the right path. This award is proud for him and he thanks French President and foreign minister for this award.
Before SRK, Amitabh Bachchan, director Satyajit Ray and Pandit Ravi Shankar were the Indians who receive this award from France.
