Apple is the advancing company in mobile phone technology and it has introduced various new apps in their handsets. Now this company is going to introduce another new app, anti-theft measure to record the fingerprints and snap photos of the phone-thief.

At the time of getting patent the application, Apple disclosed the security mechanism and informed that these security measures will be provided in the handsets, iPad and iPhone in future. The trigger mechanism will cause the phone to get record the biometric information, who use the phone at the triggered moment through the Touch ID button.
How it could work
The app is provided in the smart phones and it works when someone bypasses the security of the handset to get the unauthorized access to the phone through the device of the third party.
The information is recorded in the phone by taking different fingerprints and it can take one or more photographs of the thief. The app is also used to record the video of the thief or record the audio of the surrounding environment. Then this smart phone provides the biometric information, which are stored in it and the information is used for the identification of one or more authorized users. There are some technical problems while implementing this system and it is not as easy as setting up the simple triggers in iOS.
Problems with the system
The smart phone is added with Touch ID system and it required to press the fingers on its sensor for many times to register it. In one step, the only one part of the fingerprint is recognized through the fingerprint sensor. The person has to press his finger in multiple angles and the thief press the finger on the home button many times in the attempt to open the handset. If Apple implements the better fingerprint sensor then it can be fixed to get the improved Touch IS system. Now it is needed to make photos and record the videos and implement it
Legal and Privacy Issues
The app has the legal and privacy issues and they create the security concerns about the new system. If iPhone is used to take the photos and record and save the fingerprints of thief in the database of the company, then it can record your own as well. Then what will you say, when it stores your information on the servers of the company. The CEO of the Apple Company used the record of the company on privacy and the stance on not saving the unencrypted information to market about the products and services of the Apple Company. The anti-theft measures are limited and the features of the handsets are provided in iPhone and igadgets at any time.
