Lahore, the leading and popular singer, Hadiqa Kiani has impressed her fans all over the world for about two decades and she launched various songs during this time. She got success on the soundtrack of Udaari and now she is ready to release her new and latest music video with her new coming album, Wajd.
She likes many songs but her most favorite song is ‘Chaap Tilak’, which is the Kalaam of Amir Khusro and it is sung by Nahid Akhtar and Abida Perveen. She paid the rich tribute to both legendary singers of the country. She said that this song is festive and it has great Sufi touch and it is the favorite song of her, which is included in her new album, Wajd.
Irfan Kiyani has produced this song and it is also featured by Ustaad Nafees Ahmed on sitar and the video of the song is shot at the residence of Yousaf Salah Uddin and the award winning director, Abdullah Haris shot this song.
She further added that she and Abdullah reached at the concept of video after the great deal of deliberation and they wanted to present the heritage from the contemporary mehndis. She also said that mehndis or sangeet ceremonies are the integral part of Pakistani marriages and she invited her relatives on this occasion and allowed them to become part of this project.
The video of the song was shot at haveli which was decorated with the beautiful and stunning flowers. The fashion designer, Ali Xeeshan has prepared the dress for her and she also wore the dress having heavy embellishments and the vibrant colors are used in these dresses. Ali made her wardrobe beautiful and her own salon did her styling. She made her minimalistic look with eye liner and the glowing skin to make her simple hairdos and she also used the accessories like tikkah, which the girls used in 80s and 90s.
She also used such instrument in this video music, which are indigenous to this country and she wanted to make it more natural to her album. The songs of her latest album have been recorded with live music and all other videos except ‘Chaap Tilak’ are based on the performance.
She has been showing her performance over two decades and she has presented various masterpieces during this time. She also performed before the Turkish president, Recep Tayyip Erdogan and she presented Bohe Baariaan.
