Illinois, The scientists of Israel found that the diabetes patients can have heavy breakfast everyday in the morning, they can get better sugar control and they can also reduce their body weight. The research work was carried out in Tel Aviv University and the results of this study work were presented in the annual meeting of Endocrine Society in Illinois, Chicago. The scientists of Tel Aviv University studied 29 people having the average age of 69 years in which 11 women and 18 men were included. All these people had type 2 sugar and also suffer from obesity.

This study was continued for three months and the people, who took breakfast comprising of the balanced diet, the amount of sugar (blood sugar) remained better and they also shed their body weight. The head of the study says that it is not only important what you eat but you also consider which is the time to eat?

When we get up early in the morning after having sound sleep, our metabolism is active and it has the capability to digest the food in better way and also makes it part of our body well. When you take the breakfast well in the morning, it can leave better impact on the health and it can be better and healthy than other meals, which we take in any other part of the day.

It is old saying that take the breakfast like a king, have the lunch like minister and have the dinner like a beggar. The scientists of Israel acted upon this old saying and they divided the people into two group. The first group was given three times meal in such way that the breakfast was heavy, lunch was normal and dinner was very less. They also gave the same food to the people of second group but it was given dividing in 6 times equally from morning to night.

They observe the people for three consecutive months and they noted the level of blood sugar and change in body weight after every 15 days. When the study was completed they found that the volunteers of the first group got better sugar control and their weight was reduced to average 5 kg of all volunteers. The people of other group gained average 1.4 kg. The people, who were given food for 6 times daily, they feel hungry from time to time while the people of other group seldom complain of hunger. Furthermore, they need less use of insulin in comparison to first group.

The experts say that 90% people suffered from diabetes are also suffered from obesity. They can get better control over diabetes by reducing their body weight. This research study was carried on the sugar patients but people of all age groups can get the benefit from it.
