HP Introduces New Windows 8.1 Tablet as $99

There is arrival of cheaper HP laptops and tablets with lower price than ever which triggers the war between Microsoft against Chromebooks. These new systems will run on Windows 8.1 Pro including a $99 tablet and $199 laptop. The package has been made juicier by Microsoft with the addition of few goodies.
The laptops of HP Stream will be available with two choices: a 13” display with a touchscreen ($229) and an 11” display without any. There will be 1366×768 resolution in both of them probably. With 32GB worth eMMC flash storage, it will run an unnamed Intel Celeron processor under the hood. It is also to note that the hardware requirements have been pushed back with the new Windows update.
There are also several connectivity options. The extra attractive things include one year free access to Office 365 personal, 1 TB OneDrive storage, a 25$ free Windows gift card for apps and 60 minutes worth Skype calls. The brook laptops are aimed for younger audience and they’ll available in blue and magenta colors.
With starting at just $99, the Stream 7 tablet is even cheaper. If the thing works well, then it will be difficult for the competitors to beat that price. For a price of $149, there will also be an 8” version. There is an Intel processor and Office 365 in the tablet but no other specifications are known so far.
This month HP is also releasing a new Stream 14 laptop with 2GB RAM, 14” HD display, AMD’s A4 microprocessor and 32GB eMMC storage. It will come with lot of dark colors and its price will be $299.
Later this year, these systems will be available. It will prove to be the most serious attack on Chromebooks if these gadgets perform well in reality.
