Intel Organizes ICT Workshop to Drive Education Transformation in Pakistan

For education transformation in Pakistan, recently Intel Pakistan organized the Information Communication Technology (ICT) in Education Transformation Policy Advocacy Workshop.

Through an effective education transformation, the countries can build job skills, increase students’ competitiveness and support economic development. During last decade, Intel has invested around 3 million employees and $1 billion in 70+ countries to improve learning and teaching environments.

Country Manager Intel Pakistan, Naveed Siraj said that ICT is one of the key skills in the modern world to enrich and access learning of all kinds. It’s about communication and very vital in this world that our children are growing. One has to be an ICT-literate no matter what he does. All areas of curriculum are connected by ICT.

To compete in the globe, governments have to design policies to ensure enabling all students acquire the necessary skills to succeed in this economy based on knowledge. Intel engages with nonprofits, development agencies and multilateral organizations for education access and excellence advocacy. Intel supports local governments in achieving excellence of 21st century education.

In collaboration with Ministries of Education Policies, Intel has been working for ICT in Pakistan, over the years. To provide stakeholders working in education sector, numbers of meetings and workshops have been held. These sessions include discussions on the global and local educational transformations’ ‘trends and drivers’.

The sharing of policy development model and brief presentation of the evaluation phases and implementation of the pilot program were presented in the forum.
