A student from the Research Department Karachi University has recently created a friendly plastic from marine plant which is environment friendly.
Karachi University Students Creates Edible Shopping Bags
The best thing about this amazing creation is that it is eatable without any harmful effect. It can be mixed in water or any other fluid.
According to the Supervisor of the Research team of the students, the plastic can be used for making shopping bags. Commercially, the only demerit it has is that it can’t bear high temperature liquids like tea, because it dissolves in hot solutions.
Moreover, for short period of time, these plastic bags can be used to carry out cold liquids like water and other cold drinks.
The student and her supervisor explained their discovery in morning show on Samaa TV.
The host of the show mixes the plastic in water and then drinks it to show that it actually doesn’t have any harmful effect and can be helpful for resolving the pollution problem that our country is facing from excessive use of non-biodegradable plastic.
