Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Information Technology Board (KPITB) has started the ‘Durshal’ project in Mardan, which can help the young entrepreneurs to develop their business. KPITB has taken many initiatives and it is one of them in order to bring the technological revolution to province and help the young generation to jump start their careers.
Durshal
Durshal means ‘doorstep’ and KPITB hopes to open the new doors to innovation, collaboration and start the new businesses. The KPK Minister for Health and IT and the Provincial Education Minister were present in the launching ceremony of this project. The project coordinator of this program says that there are many more such initiatives will be started soon. He says that this project is the first one of the series and there would be other centers to be established in Swat, Peshawar, Swabi, Kohat, DI Khan and Haripur. We want to enable the young generation to start their own businesses and they can create their job opportunities for others. The initiation of the center will boost the digital economy of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. There are following centers, which have been launched under Durshal:
- Durshal Community Innovation Labs – It is developed to promote entrepreneurship, community development and the digital skills.
- Durshal GIL Government Innovation Lab – it is developed to provide solutions to revolutionize the government processes.
- Durshal Access Outreach Program – It is used as the latest tools to promote effective internet use and it helps to reduce the digital divide.
