The demand of the passenger cars in increasing in the country as the sales of the cars in increased, which are assembled within the country. The viewers witnessed the significant growth of 25 percent during the month of August 2016 when you compare it with July 2016.

Pakistan Automotive Manufacturers Association (PAMA) has issued the statistics that the local assembled cards are sold out to 15170 passenger cars during the month of August 2016 which is up from the 12147 units locally assembled cars sold in July 2016.

PAMA also said the total number of locally assembled cars sold in the local markets is 27317 in these two months of this ongoing fiscal year.

Stats showed that the major contributors in sale of the locally manufactured cars are Industry Motor Company, Honda and Pak Suzuki during this reported time.

When you compare the figures of July and August 2016 with the corresponding duration of the previous year, then you will find that sale of car is dropped 6%. The local assemblers have believed that this decline in sale of the cars is temporary due to extended vacations o Eid in July. The Punjab Government has started its Apna Rozgar scheme and the year on year decline in sale of the cars is caused by this scheme and this scheme was ended in the last financial year.

The officials of the local companies are optimistic to watch the constant growth in the sales of the cars during remaining months of the year and there is high demand o the cars among the customers and they have low prices of petroleum products, which are available at the affordable leasing with lower interest rates.

It is important to mention that the local automobile companies watched the record sales in the domestic history in financial year 2015-16 and they showed the demand trend of the local car remains at the high in local market.

1300 CC and Above Cars

There is growing trend o the locally produced cars, which is driven to the overall sales of passenger cars like Toyota Corolla and it remained the first choice of Pakistan and it is also considered the best selling brand in Pakistan. There were about 15170 units of sold cars, which were 1300 CC or above cars out of total sold cars of 27317 units in this reported time.

1000 CC Cars

There are various cars, which are included in the mid size passenger cars and they are locally assembled cars like Suzuki Cultus, which remained the preferred choice and they have high sales. There is another vehicle, WagonR, which has great popularity among the people and the sales of this vehicle is also increasing in Pakistan.

Below 1000 CC

Suzuki Mehran is the old brand and it is still popular among the people of Pakistan and it is considered the best selling car. This car is locally assembled under 1000 cc segment. The people, who do not afford to buy the expensive cars, they can buy this car. The imported cars from Japan and Thailand have over 1000 cc cars but this car is less than 1000 cc.

There is another car which has more sale in Pakistan and it is Suzuki Bolan. This vehicle was also the part of Punjab Apna Rozgar scheme along with Suzukir Ravi Jeep.
