Man arrested for posting womans pictures on Facebook

The cybercrime wing of Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) has arrested a man for blackmailing a woman by circulating his sensitive pictures on Whatsapp and Facebook.

Sajjad Hussain used these tactics to defame her while FIA also collected mobile phone from the accused.

An FIA officer told that Sajajd was an employee of a cancer hospital in Peshawar while his earlier posting was in the Lahore branch of same hospital. Both met there initially.

 

 

Brother of the women was admitted in the Lahore branch of hospital due to cancer while she gave her mobile phone to her brother and the accused stole her memory and SIM card from mobile.

Later, he started posted her private pictures on social media and threatened to defame her if she rejected his marriage proposal. The man said that he helped her during treatment of her brother. During that, she promised to marry him but later refused to do so after end of her problem.

She blamed the person is still threatening her to be his friend otherwise he will continue these tactics.

Rights activist Uzma Mehboob said during an interview that parents are not educating their daughters about safe use of mobile phones and other electronic devices due to which they become victim of cybercrime.

She told that girls should be taught about using the social media with caution. She added that role in media in creating hype of love marriages is also making problems in our society and creating disturbances in several families.
