Usually the Mediatek is famous for manufacturing low priced ARM processors on both mid end and low end Smart Phones. This time around Mediatek has made an announcement of world’s first true Octa-Core Mobile Processor which is an ARM architecture based phone. It will be possible for you to use 8 cores one after another on your mobile device with 2 X performances as a result which is far better than what you get from a current Quad Core processors.

There hasn’t been much about the True Octa Core Processor by t he company as they haven’t yet disclosed the launching date of this device.

Featuring a 28nm eight core ARM Cortex A7 CPU is the codename of the processor of True Octa Core Smart Phone which could be clocked around 2.0 GHz with radios which supports up to HSPA+ mobile networks and an unspecified GPU.

The processor of this phone will not include LTE modem in it.

True Octa Core Smart Phone uses all of its Cortex A7 cores for CPU tasks which is the real meaning of the word True, which is different from what we have seen in Samsung Exynos 5 processor having an eight core CPU that actually is a hybrid and is made of 2x core processors which did not take advantage of all of its 8 cores simultaneously rather 4 cores working at the same time.

The power consumption of MT6592 would be similar to the quad core processors available in the market surprisingly.
