Acting chief meteorologist of Meteorological Department, Abdul Rasheed, told that heat will increase in Karachi from April which demands special measures from citizens and related departments.
He said that many died due to heat wave in Karachi in 2015 and now related departments should make precautionary measures. Due to global warming, intensity of heat is increasing in different parts of world.
He added that temperature will increase in Karachi from 1st April and heat season will be at its peak in May and June. During this, the Meteorological Department will keep an eye on the changes in summer season. The department will release alert three days earlier in case there is a chance of heat wave so that related departments and citizens can take safety measures.
