Misbah Got Bonus for Maintaining Fitness and Shahid Fined for Not Maintaining

Lahore, Pakistan Cricket Board has fined the cricket team players like T20 captain, Shahid Khan Afridi, Umar Akmal, Abdul Rehman and Raza Hassan for not maintaining their fitness. The PCB has also awarded bonus to twelve players including captain Misbah ul Haq for maintaining additional bonus in their salaries.

PCB maintained the procedure of imposing fine and awarding bonus to the players giving special emphasis to the physical fitness in the central contract of the players before start of the Sri Lankan tour. Now PCB has acted upon this procedure and conducted the physical fitness of the players in which Shahid Khan Afridi, Abdul Rehman, Umar Akmal and Raza Khan could not succeed. These players were giving the punishment of the deduction of 25% from their monthly pay.

In the fitness test, Shan Masood and Umar Amin were declared super fit and they will be awarded with the bonus of 17.5% in their monthly pay. 40 years old captain of test and one day team, Misbah ul Haq, Ahmed Shahzad and Bilawal Bhatti have also improved their fitness and they will be given the 10% bonus. Younis Khan, Asad Shafique, Sarfaraz Ahmed and twelve other players maintained the level of fitness and they did not allow to decrease it.

PCB will conduct the fitness test after every four months and fine in the pay of the unfit players will be deducted & it will be awarded to the fit players. Wahab Riaz and Nasir Jamshed have also got the central contract but they are outside the country due to playing the Champions League. They did not appear in their fitness test. When they will come back, their fitness test will be conducted.
