Mother’s Day is celebrated every year in many countries but there is no single date of this special day and various countries celebrate this day on date of their own choice. On this day, children give gift to their mothers and thanked them for their love and care for them. The first Mother’s Day was celebrated in 1908 in USA. In 1914, it was officially announced to be celebrated in USA on the second Sunday of May. Many countries, including Pakistan, celebrate Mother’s Day on the same day. This year in 2016, the second Sunday of May is coming on 8th May 2016 and the Mother’s Day will be celebrated on this day in Pakistan and many other countries.
In several countries, the Mother’s Day is celebrated according to their religious or cultural practices. In Pakistan, children usually give various types of gifts and cards to their mothers on that day while sometimes a party is also celebrated to commemorate this day. Those people who lost their mothers also remember them on this special day.
