National Squad Set Off to take Part in RIO Games

Islamabad, National squad set off to Brazil to take part in the RIO Games, which are going to be conducted in Rao De Genero, Brazil. Pakistani squad has been issued the funds of 60 lac rupees so that it can participate in the RIO Olympics. The scheduled national squad has been issued the visas by the Brazilian embassy and the players and the officials will get their visas in time so that they can leave for Brazil from 01 August from Lahore. In the RIO Games, the brief national squad will participate in the games, in which seven players and 10 officials will participate. The players will be granted for one lac and eighty thousands per player for their travelling allowance the thirty thousand rupees will be paid as daily allowance.

Two players will take part in the athletic event, who are Mehboob Ali and Najma Perveen and two players will participate in Shooting, who are Ghulam Mustafa and Minahil Sohail. Two players will participate in Swimming, who are Liana Katherine and Haris Banday whole Shah Hussain Shah will be in action in Judo. The Pakistani squad will set off from Lahore and the Federal Minister for inter province Liaison and the DG Sports Board will set off from Islamabad from 02 August.

The Brazilian ambassador said that they have made certain changes in the visa policy so that the visitor can know the culture of our country and it is great honor for the government and people of Brazil that they are hosting this big event. All of the preparations have been finalized for this mega event and all of the planning has been made to organize these games tremendously.

In the officials of the Pakistani squad for RIO Olympic are included with the Federal Minister for Inter Province Liaison, Mian Riaz Hussain Peerzada, DG Pakistan Sports Board Dr Akhtar Nawaz, Director of Medical, Pak Sports Board, Dr Waqar Ahmed, President of Pak Olympic Association, Lt Gen (R) Arif Hassan, Secretary General of POA, Khalid Mahmood and member of International Olympic Committee in Pak, Shahid are included in the delegation, which is participating in the RIO Olympic games.
