Islamabad, The government of Pakistan has started the online service for the Pakistanis, who are living in the foreign countries. Now they can get the renewal of their passport in just 16 minutes. This service was started for the overseas Pakistanis last week. Now the Pakistanis in other countries can get renewed their machine readable passport and this process takes the time of only 16 minutes. After this process, the renewed passport is sent to the card holder within 10 days. The urgent passport can be issued within 4 days only.
The acting Councilor General of Pakistan gave an interview to media and said that this service is started for the Pakistanis 24 hours, who are living in UAE. Now they do not need to come to the embassy of Pakistan in Dubai or Abu Dhabi and they can save their time. This e-service is associated with Director General of Emigration and Passport and this facility is provided to the Pakistanis, who are living in all countries of the world. But this system is not for the issue of new passport. This system can be practicable if the data and particulars of the applicant are present in the database. In case of birth of their child, they will have to contact with Pakistan Embassy to get the fresh passport.
