According to an American research, only 8% Pakistanis have the access to internet. 4% Pakistanis have smart phones, 3% have land line while 43% have. 53% Pakistanis told that they don’t have cell phones. It is said in the research conducted by American think tank ‘Pew’ research that only 8% Pakistanis and 20% Indians have access to internet. Only 14% Indians have their own smartphones. Majority of Pakistanis think that internet produces bad effects on the morality of a person. 31% have the view that internet’s effects on ethics are negative while 20% think that these effects are positive. During that research, which was conducted in 32 emerging and developing countries, total 1203 people were interviewed in Pakistan. According to the official statistics of Pakistan, 19% Pakistanis have internet access while the survey told that 92% Pakistanis is deprived of the facility of internet while only 8% have this facility. In this list of facility of internet for 32 countries, Pakistan is at the last number. The access to internet for different countries in this list include; Bangladesh 11%, Tanzania 19%, India 20% and Indonesia 24%. It is also said in the report that only 3% Pakistanis have land line phone while the PTCL report of previous year says that the mobile phone facility was available to 6.76% Pakistanis till June 2014 while 139.9 million Pakistanis were subscribers.
