Pak China Optic Fiber project completed in 2 years

Additional details of the Optic fiber Project between Pak and China is disclosed by an unnamed source working at Hawaii who stayed connected with APP which is a state run news Agency of Pakistan.

The total cost of the Optic Fiber Project 44 million $ and is expected to be completed within two years after its commencement as per the revealed details to the agency.

In order to link Rawalpindi with Khunjrab and then to then onwards to the back haul network of China 820 km long fiber optic will be laid down with the Hawaii.

The initiation of Project from Sust to Khunjrab section are affected by the climatic conditions and prioritized because of the limited time period left in the summer this year.

The project other than this section however will be completed simultaneously in different cities and towns.

Pakistan will be enjoying non-stop internet voice and data connectivity through China with the introduction of this new link. The country is activated with undersea cables like SEA-ME-WE 3 & 4 and IMEWE.

According to the APP security concerns are also connected with it besides this dependency being risky. It is possible to easily monitor and disturb the internet traffic and voice/data. A link will be created between Pakistan and Trans-Asia Europe cable in China in order to offset such a threat through this project. This will enable China and Pakistan to have alternate routes for their international traffic according to the reports by the source.
