Pak Suzuki Announces Investment of $460 Million


Pakistani Auto manufacturing company Pak Suzuki Motors has decided to establish its second manufacturing plant in Pakistan with investment of $460 million in next two years.

For this purpose, Pak Suzuki’s MD Herofomi Nagao met with federal finance minister Ishaq Dar on Thursday and told him about the company’s plan to invest $460 million to construct its second plant. This new project will be completed in two years and it will start production at the end of 2018. During this meeting, future investment in Pakistan was also discussed.

The minister told the MD to present the complete plan in detail according to procedure so that the application can be processed. Pakistani government aims to provide equal chances to all the investors.

He told that ‘Jetro’ declared Pakistan as second most ‘Investment Friendly’ country. Chances of foreign investment in Pakistan have increased due to Pakistan’s economic performance, macroeconomic stability and improvement in law and order and energy condition. Many new companies have also shown interest in automobile industry.
