PCB Chairman Shaharyar Khan has confirmed that Pakistan has cancelled its scheduled cricket tour of Bangladesh this year.

Bangladesh’s last tour in Pakistan came in 2007-08 after which Pakistan toured Bangladesh twice in 2011 and 2015.

According to schedule, Pakistan was expected to play 2 tests, 3 ODIs and 1 T20 match during its Bangladesh tour in July and August 2017.

But PCB Chairman told that Bangladesh rejected the offer from Pakistan to play 2 T20 matches in Pakistan after two consecutive tours by Pakistan team. He said that Pakistan made two Bangladeshi tours without any Bangladeshi tour to Pakistan and it is not possible for them to tour there for the 3rd consecutive time. Due to this, they have decided to cancel the tour and make effort with any other country next year.

In 2009, Sri Lankan cricket team was attacked in Pakistan and since then Pakistan has been playing its home series in UAE.
