From participants aspiring to participate in Pakistan Idol, Mobilink’s mobile auditions have received 10,861 entries.
With the participants have able to send in their nominations using call-ins, the Mobilink mobile audition mark the first time in the history of the global reality show.

Mobilink took on the responsibility of empowering 37 million subscribers on its network by providing them access through their mobile phones to Pakistan Idol, as the official cellular partner of Pakistan Idol. From over 850 cities, towns and villages from across Pakistan, the resulting call-in nominations were received.
Mobilink’s Vice President Marketing, Farid Ahmed said that Mobilink understands its responsibility to provide an equal opportunity across Pakistan to participate in this reality show, as the leader of Pakistan’s telecom industry. Therefoe it has taken the reach of Pakistan idol to over 850 locations in Pakistan.
Pakistan Idol Mobilink Mobile Auditions
As the international ‘Idol’ series, Pakistan Idol will follow a similar pattern. Based on in-person and mobile auditions, a total of 100 participants are to be finalized in the first round. To reach the ‘Theatre Round’, 40 will be further short-listed, where they’ll compete in individual and group performances. With 13 contestants performing over several weeks for the coveted title of ‘Pakistan Idol’, the ‘Piano’ round will be the final stage of the competition.
