Pakistan to Get its First 4.5G Soon


Wi-tribe is going to deploy the first high speed LTE Advanced (LTE-A) network of Pakistan and it will be made live in May 2017. The details are provided on their website and wi-tribe has signed the deployment of the high speed with Huawei and it is billed as 4.5 G network in minimum five cities where the wi-tribe is providing its services.

The company has planned the new LTE Advanced network from wi-tribe and it will deliver the speed upto 100 Mbps per house in just few months. Then this speed of the wi-tribe will be increased to 200 mbps per home by the end of 2018, when more advanced CPEs (customer premises equipment) will be provided and the same technology will be provided and it will deliver speeds of 400 mbps per home in 2019.

When the wi-tribe will be deployed and it will become first operator in South Asia and Middle East to deploy technology on rich 3.5 GHz spectrum. The rep of wi-tribe shared the statement, in which it was said that network up-gradation is part of $50 million investment plan of HB Group and it was announced when it acquired wi-tribe from national telecom company Ooredoo of Qatar. The chairman of wi-tribe Supervisory Board commented on the investment and former UK Government Minister Shahid Malik said that wi-tribe will give the access to 1 million household in just six months with the fastest wireless home broadband service in Pakistan with the use of most advanced technology, which is provided in the world.

The provision of 4.5G wi-tribe brings the revolution in terms of the amount of data, which is offered to the customers and it will mean the lightening speed of about 100 mbps for single user household. The clients will be the best internet packages in Pakistan with speed, value, reliability and volume for the clients.

The up-gradation in this network is the second big investment of wi-tribe when it got multi-million dollar spectrum in August 2016 to double the capacity of the network.

Shahid Malik has revealed the future prospects of the advanced network and he said that this si the start of the investment journey and at the end of 2018, wi-tribe plans to deliver the bandwidth speed of about 200 mbps to the singer household. When the CPE technology catches up without LTE-A with 8 transmit and 8 receive technology, the company will provide beyond the lightening fast speeds of about 400 mbps in 2019. When LTE Advanced network is deployed, wi-tribe will be taken in the position to provide latest broadband internet services for home and business users and they are coupled with the digital entertainment solutions and live TV.
