Pakistan wins the ODI series against South Africa by 2-0 after beating their rivals by 1 run in the 2nd ODI. The last match of this 3-match series will be played on 30th November in Centurion. South African team could only manage to score 261 runs in their allotted 45 overs against the Pakistani total of 262. In this match played in St. George Park (Port Elizabeth), Pakistan batted first after winning the toss and gave Proteas the target of 263 runs.

After losing the wicket of Graeme Smith (1), in-form Hashim Amla (98) and De Kock (47) made a good partnership of 87 runs. After that, Hashim Amla and AB De Villiers (74) scored the best partnership of 110 runs. Losing of de Villiers and Amla in a short span of time became the reason for South African loss and the new coming batsmen could not retain the pace of runs by which both were scoring. Junaid Khan remained the best bowler from Pakistan with 3 wickets while Shahid Afridi got 2 and Saeed Ajmal got 1 wicket. Ahmed Shahzad achieved man of the match award due to his best batting performance. It should be kept in mind that it is the first ODI-series won by Pakistan against South Africa.
