In an important match of Asia Cup 2014, Pakistan has almost qualified for the final after beating India by 1 wicket. Shahid Afridi’s attacking batting in the last moments have paved the way for Pakistan victory and his last two sixes faded the hopes of India. In this match played at Dhaka, the start of Pakistan was fine but the team came in trouble after dismissal of both the openers. Sharjeel Khan (25), Ahmed Shehzad (42), Misbah-ul-Haq (01) and Umar Akmal (04) went one after the other. M Hafeez and Sohaib Maqsood scored 87 runs for the 5thwicket. Hafeez (75) and Sohaib (38) dismissed in the span of two overs. At that moment Shahid Afridi and Umar Gul batted aggressively and took the score to 235. Umar Gul scored 12 runs, while M Talha and Saeed Ajmal went without scoring. But Shahid Afridi remained there till the end and took Pakistan to victory by scoring 32 runs in 18 balls.
