It is not difficult for the people to find Indian food or art in Singapore but it is difficult for the people to find anything relating to Pakistan.
The art and culture of both the countries are different and their footprints has disparity, which compelled Singapore based Pakistani, Azzah Waseem to established project ‘Fun aur Funkaar’ and she managed the seven days long festival in Singapore to exhibit the Pakistani art, music, food and culture to the people. She is managing director of ‘Fun aur Funkaar’ and she gave the name to her company, Momentz by Azzah. She said that people show the negative side of Pakistan instead of showing positive side of Pakistan. It is time to expose Pakistani culture, art and talent.
The festivities were conducted on Friday with the holding of concert by JoSH and it was managed at Magic Carpet Lounge. The five day gastronomic journey was started at Aryaa Kitchen on Sunday on the Beach Road. In the event, the different dishes of Punjab, Gilgit Baltistan, Baluchistan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Sindh.

It is also said that there are about 55 paintings of diverse styles are displayed in this exhibition and these paintings are added with Islamic calligraphy, abstracts and portraits and the exhibition was conducted at Asian Art Platform and it will show the work of Pakistani artists like AS Rind, MA Bukhari, Erum Adnan and Aamir Khatri.
At the end of the event, Fun aur Funkaar, the fashion show was shown with the bridal and formal collection of the Pakistani dresses, prepared by fashion designer, Rana Noman and the Singapore-based jewellery designer, Tanya Farooq has decorated them and Pakistani actor, Mikaal Zulfiqar present it for the meet and greet.
Azzah also claimed that this festival was conducted not only of Singapore based Pakistanis but also for the Singaporeans. She said that people hardly know about Pakistan and this festival is the great opportunity for the people to come and know about Pakistan through food, music, art and fashion. She also plans to make the festival, ‘Fun aur Funkaar’ the annual affair and finally Sri Lanka and Bangladesh will be included in it.
