PEMRA has issued FM Radio license to Sindh Madrasatul Islam whose frequency is set at 96.6. The FM radio will work under Department of Media Sciences of Sindh Madrasa University. It will not only spread the education but also trained the students of university and journalists of different institutions. According to university VC Dr M Ali Shaikh, the test transmission of FM radio will be started from the sacred month of Ramadan while regular transmission will be initiated from Independence Day 14th August. FM radio will broadcast events about different provincial governments, ministry of education, universities and educational institutes. A radio studio has been developed in Sindh Madrasatul Islam University.
