An American company named “Ghost Robotics” has produced such a four-limb robot that resembles a dog and can easily climb up a fence by using its metallic limbs.
Nowadays, 4 limbed robots are not uncommon but important factor of this robot is its price of $1500 or less. It is named ‘Ghost Minitaur’. Its experimental models have been prepared and soon its industrial production will start after which it will be available online.
It has more qualities than the expensive military robots. For example it can jump, climb stairs & fence and can also cross the hurdle higher than its own size. The experts of ‘Ghost Robotics’ have used ‘direct drive motors’ in this robot that helps it to walk, climb and jump at same time.
It can also open the door. It can also be used to provide relief efforts on those locations where drones can’t be used and where it will be difficult to arrive from land due to difficult ways.
