There are various other cellular operators, which are putting pressure over PTA for not allowing Warid to function the 4G LTE, as they are not pleased with this situation.

PTA has signed an agreement with the plan of Warid for the 4G LTE and these advertisements were published in the newspapers of the country last Friday. Warid has got the cellular mobile license in 2004 and now it has requested with the PTA for the approval of its plan for the launching of the 4G LTE. PTA has also asked Warid for the submission of the technical plan and information regarding 4G network for its evaluation.

PTA has also confirmed the fact that the existing license of Warid is technology neutral and there are no parameters for the Quality of Service and the services regarding Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for the launching of the 4G LTE has not been mentioned. To cover up the situation, PTA has given the emphasis to comply with the QoS parameters and KPIs, which has been maintained by PTA for the launching of the 4G LTE service.

PTA has said that they will grant license for the present Cellular Mobile Telephony License with further requirements relating to the 4G LTE services then PTA will grant the final approval to Warid.
