PTCL declared that they are going to upgrade the 2 MB broadband DSL to 4 MB free for their customers. This upgradation of 2 MB broadband will allow the users to enjoy with the double speed of 4 MB but the rates will remain unchanged. The customers are paying about Rs.1549 per month till 31st December 2013 and after that time the customers have to pay Rs.1999 per month for the regular 4 MB charges.

PTCL has also made it clear that this upgradation will take place automatically on all PTCL numbers, but the customers, who do not want to upgrade this facility, they have the option to call 1236 and ask for not promoting their speed up to 4 MB.
PTCL Limited Upgradation of 2MB DSL Speeds to 4MB
PTCL has upgraded the facility at different times for their present customers. However, the upgradation of the phone number along with this facility was remained under criticism in the past. The customers have their opinion that most of the time, company upgrades this system for limited time and reverts after some time and they are concerned for this promotion.
