Shahid Afridi is Ambassador of ICC Champions Trophy 2017

Dubai, ICC has appointed Shahid Afridi and seven other cricket stars as the ambassador of ICC Champions Trophy. ICC has issued the declaration that they have appointed 8 players as ambassadors in order to impress the youth from their play and increase the popularity of Champions Trophy. There are many other players like Habib ul Bashar of Bangladesh, Eion Bell of England, Shane Bond of New Zealand, Mike Hussy of Australia, Harbhajan Singh of India, Kumar Sangakkara of Sri Lanka and Graeme Smith of South Africa. All these players played 1774 matches altogether and they have scored total 51906 runs with the help of 48 centuries and they also took 838 wickets. The legend players will be with the launching ceremony of trophy in England and the legend players will meet with the children of schools and they will also get the opportunity to participate in the coaching clinics.

Afridi has played 13 matches in the Champions trophy and he made 167 runs and took 14 wickets. He showed his pleasure on his appointment as the ambassador of ICC Champions Trophy and it is great honor for him to include in the great players of his time. Pakistan never won the Champions trophy and it is placed in the tough group in which India, South Africa and Sri Lanka are included. The green shirts will have to show their performance during this match.
