Orange Line Metro Train
In big cities mass transportation is our need. It not only takes the people who have to go to long distances but also reduces traffic on the roads. Keep this insight Punjab PM Shehbaz Sharif inaugurated the Lahore orange line metro train project. The mega project has been included in china Pakistan economic corridor. The construction of the mega project has been started from 2015. 27 kilometer rail line was destined to be running in the middle of 2017 but got stucked in legal spat due to trampling over cultural heritage sites.
Orange Line Metro Train
1000 people can get fit in the whole train at one go. It will serve up to 250000 people each day. The train will use electricity. The Punjab government is going to increase the number of people up to 500000 a day by 2025. Under this project 27 trains will be imported and 23 will arrive later this year. After metro bus the orange line train the 2nd mega project in Lahore.

According to the officials the train can cover 2.5 hour distance in 45 minutes. The inauguration ceremony was held at Dhera gujran. The Chinese consul general was also present in the inauguration ceremony.
The PM at this occasion said that if someone proves corruption in this project then you all can hold me responsible for that. Shehbaz Sharif said we started this project especially for the poor peoples. “The poor ones also have the same rights on the resources of this country as the rich ones have”. The aim of the project is equality. PM also told about the stops from which the orange line train will pass through.
