Sighting of Zil Hajj Moon

Karachi, The moon of Zil Hajj is not sighted in Pakistan and it is decided that Eid ul Azha will be celebrated on Saturday, 02 September across the country. The meeting of the moon sighting committee was held in Karachi and the chairman of the committee presided over the meeting. The meetings of the zonal committees were also conducted on the local level.

The chairman of the committee said that the committee did not receive any evidence of sighting of moon across the country and the first Zil hajj will be on 24 August and Eid ul Azha will be celebrated on 10 Zil Hajj, which falls on 02 September 2017.
