Completely switching off
Few electric appliances in home and office continuously uses electricity even after closing, especially that are used by remote control in which TV is included. It is not enough to close TV with remote because it uses hundreds of kw annually. Therefore, TV should be closed by closing the switch so that it separates from the main line of electricity.
Duration of Use
Price of electricity in Pakistan is different during day and night. It seems electricity is expensive during time of high load which it is a bit cheaper during less load time. Therefore, use the electricity products of high voltage at the time of fewer loads that will save some electricity every month.
Don’t use Dryer
Dryer of washing machine consumes lot of electricity. Your annual bill increases thousands of rupees if you have the habit to use dryer. The better thing is to dry the clothes under sun.
Appropriate use of refrigerator
Motor of fridge works quickly and for longer duration if hot food is put in the fridge and it uses more electricity to cool the hot foods. Therefore, the food should be allow to cool for 2 hours (microbes can produced in more time) and then it could be put in refrigerator. Also, coil of refrigerator should also be cleaned twice in a year. Dirt makes it difficult for fridge to work which results in expenditure of extra electricity.
Use LED Bulbs
LED bulbs are expensive but they save energy as compared to old bulbs. If a normal bulb uses electricity of Rs. 1000 then the electricity cost with LED bulb is around 300 to 400 rupees which means it saves up to 600%.
Take care of electrical appliances
People usually left chargers, laptop cables in plug and also don’t close the switch. Modern chargers use very little electricity but electricity bill can be increased in case of continuous carelessness. The experts say that if switch of any charger is not closed then it uses at least some electricity.
