Karachi, the strange entertaining festivals and fairs are conducted in the world. These festivals and air have the entertainment but they are also exciting and they elaborate the historic attraction of this festival.
Trophy of Ugliness
A festival is being celebrated in Kimbria, a UK community area to make the ugly mouth. This competition is being conducted in this area on 15th of September every year. Most of the time, the people, who do not have teeth in their mouths, they win this competition.
Ceremony to Jump Over Newly Born Babies
A festival is being celebrated in Spain every year to jump over the babies. This festival is called ‘L Kolako’ and in this festival, the babies less than 12 months are lying down on the comfortable beds and a person, wearing yellow and red dress, is called as devil. He jumps over the many small infants in a time. This festival has been celebrating in Bargos province of Spain since 1620 but there is no detail to start this festival. It has the aim to remove the evils spirits from the small children so that they can lead better life.
Crawl Behind Cheese
A festival is being celebrated in UK in Glocaster during the spring season every year. A cheese box is thrown from the top of a hill and hundreds of people start crawling after this cheese box to catch it. The event is called ‘Copper Hill Cheese Rolling End Week’. Now people from all over the world attend this ceremony and they receive many bruises during the crawling. First the 5 pounds cheese piece was used in this competition and now the round piece of foam is used in it. The person, who catches it first, he is declared winner. When the people lost their balance and they fell down, they received injuries, which are shown through their pictures.
Wrestling of Camels
The wrestling of the camels is being celebrated in Turkey every year and two camels are used to fight with each other. They fight till one becomes tired and falls down or runs away from the field.
Pick Wife and Run
The competition is being conducted in Finland, Australia, Austria, Estonia and other areas in which the competitors will have to pick their wives on their shoulders and they have to run. In some of the countries, the winners get the bounty and in Finland, they receive the wine equal to the weight of their wives. The running field is normally 253 meters long. There are two ways and one is dry and the other is filled with water and the minimum age of the competitor is determined as 17 years old.
Night of Carrot
In the area of Oksaka, Mexico, the farmers and the vegetable vendors celebrate a festival on 23rd December of every year. They bring the big and enormous sizes of carrots and give the beautiful shape and things to them. This festival was started in 1897 and the most beautiful creator is awarded with the prize. Various experts present the beautiful scene like home and village through it and this festival is called the night of carrot.
Toe fighting
Most of the people would have watched the competition to fight the eggs on the eid festivals in Quetta, Pakistani city. But there is a competition celebrated in England, which is called toe fighting on 25 August every year. This competition is called ‘Todame’ and the participating fee is about 200 PKR. In this competition, two persons sit against each other and they grab the toes of each other and try to push them. If the toe of one person strikes against the frame or go out of it, he loses the competition. The amount of this competition is donated to various welfare organizations.
