Mobile phone operators have already launched the 3G trial freely for the customers and now they have extended the trial period in the country. Ufone and other mobile phone operators have announced that they have accorded extension in the launching of the 3G services commercially in the country.

It was expected that the license awarding ceremony will be held on 10th May and after this, the companies will make plan for the launching of the 3G services commercially. The companies has delayed the process in nonpayment of the license fee, as they had to pay the fee for 3 G and 4 G spectrum. It is still unclear that when the cellular companies will make the payment of the fee for the license.

It is also worth noted that the cellular companies are bound to pay their remaining fee for the winning spectrum within 30 days of the auction, which was held on 23 April 2014. For granting the extension of the 3G trial freely, Ufone has issued a statement in this regard.

Mr Taimur Faiz Cheema is the GM Marketing of Ufone and he said that he felt the pleasure for the announcement of the 3G and announced the extension in the free 3G trial services on the popular demand of the customers for some more days. Now the Ufone users will experience the free use of the 3G services for the extended period and get the benefit of this latest technology.

Mobilink and Telenor has also announced for the further extension in the free 3G trial but Zong is going to start the 3G trial. Actually Zong has asked its customers for their enrolment and they can participate in the 3G trial, which is expected to be started on 14th May 2014.
