Just now, Telenor Pakistan has announced that it has already 1.3 million 3G users on its network and now by the end of October 2014, it is going to expand its 3G path to 45 cities.
The company issued the statement that the 3G services of Telenor will be launched in the cities given below for the fifth phase of commercial roll out.
1. Murree and Nathia Gali
2. Rahim Yar Khan
3. Malakand
4. Khanewal
5. Lodhran
The company also told that by the end of this month, the 3G service will also be provided to Bhakkar, Ghotki, Larkana, Sukkur, Mansehra and Lower Dir.
It was also told by Telenor that the customers of Telenor Pakistan in these areas will be offered a two weeks free trial period of 3G services. The end of free 3G trial services will be notified to the subscribers through the official website of Telenor Pakistan and also via SMS.
The customers will enjoy free data daily of 50MBs during this free 3G trial period. The charges of data services on 2G will remain as earlier.
CMO of Telenor Pakistan Irfan Wahab Khan told on the occasion that in urban, semi urban and rural areas of country, there are around 1.3 million customers that are using the 3G services. He told that the company has a twofold strategy to increase 3G services in Pakistan. The first is to increase the inter-city 3G sites and the other is to increase the number of cities with 3G coverage.
